You're getting married! Yay! But now you've got to plan the darn thing. If you're looking to get married in Canada, one of the things you're going to want to figure out before you start picking and choosing the floral arrangements and venue, is your budget and what you've got to work with. From the big costs to the smaller ticket items, everything adds up but with the right financial planning, you'll be able to make your big day perfect.

Global News found that Canadians believe a realistic price tag for a wedding should be just under $9,000. But most often than not it's way more costly than that.

You can do a cheaper wedding, but then you're either going to the court house, elope to Vegas or it's a small group you're inviting.

If you have a larger guest count a more realistic number is around $40,000 to $50,000. That's based on 100 guests at $200 a person. Sounding pricey? Maybe. But realistic nonetheless.

Read on for a breakdown of the average cost and for what you can expect in Toronto, Canada. Keep in mind, while you may find similar costs in other popular metropolitan areas like Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, the costs will differ slightly from province to province.

Honeymoon

Unplug for a weekend, which can cost as little as $500. Or you can also do a $25,000 Sandals resort with butler service for two weeks in the Caribbean. Go all out on both the wedding day and honey moon, or compromise one of them. At the end of the day you both decide as a team.
